Involving academics and practitioners from civil society the seven seminars seek to generate a comprehensive account of gendered politics and power in the UK:
- Looking at women’s access to politics – how many are present in the UK’s political institutions
- What type of women are present and which are absent or marginalized?
- Women’s voices – identifying the issues that women are concerned about, what positions they take on particular issues
- Accountability to women is examined by looking at the which policies governments and representatives have sought to deliver ‘for women’ – addressing, what the state of ‘gender equality’ in the UK.
